I understand the need for "random" appearences of monsters and their level(s) of strength/magic and as well the number of monsters that appear in any given situation. Then the need for the individual players assesment of the situation and then to determine their fight or flight option. Some areas can be set up with a mix of weak & medium...medium weak & medium strong....medium strong & strong...and a mix of weapon and magic using baddies But as well also understand the need to allow characters to grow/skill so that they have fighting chance of being able to log in for the first time and not get slaughtered (LOL) and thusly give them oppertunity to skill and to go make/purchase the needed items, so as to be able to move on through the game, but not making it so freaking easy as for everything to be a cake walk through the park. There should be areas where only the bravest of hearts will tread, be it alone or as a group....this may be considered like a quest, where the the level of diffulculty for the players will increase as they proceed and like many RPG's at the end, the final battle against "the boss" will occur.
