Equipment
From Neverend
Numbers on the left are the maximum number of items useable in storage if the item in the slot counts as a storage item. Storage items will restrict their inventory to specific items, such as 2 swords for belt, 5 knives for wrist, and 30 arrows for quiver. Storage items can appear occupying both sides or just one side, such as a single sheath or a double sheath. Unarmored hands naturally count as a 10 item ring storage slot.
The right side indicates layers for each slot. The A column is armor. Wearing no armor counts as 0 armor; slots that cannot have armor are naturally 0, and slots that have armor unequipped are naturally 0. A colored square means the appearance of the slot can be modified when unarmored/unclothed (hair color, hair style, tattoos).
U is undergarments, such as an undershirt. Undergarments allow clothing to be layered under normal clothing. Miscellaneous clothing can also occupy the undergarment slot. Undergarment display can be disabled under graphics properties. Waist underwear will replace the default male or female waist, and female torso underwear will replace the default female torso. Wearing underwear without clothing counts as unclothed.
C is clothing, and will cover undergarments. Clothing does not add defense unless it specifically does in the item property. Wearing no clothing counts as unclothed.
J is jewelry, and includes rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Jewelry display can be disabled under graphics properties.
The order of layering for each layer follows a default order unless the item property specificies a different order, or disables other layers when worn. The default order is armor over clothing, clothing over underwear, and clothing over jewelry. Clothing usually goes under armor, but may specify being over armor depending on the clothing. Jewelry is usually disabled when wearing armor over the same slot (gauntlets disables rings).
Item properties specify what layer the item occupies, what slot it occupies, and what additional slot or additional layer it disables (heavy leg armor can disable feet, heavy torso armor can disable waist). It also specifies if the item is a storage item. Storage items can add to inventory, show an external graphic while in inventory, or enable "sheathed" items that occupy a space in item inventory when not being used, and occupy that space while being used or displayed on the character model.
The item can also specify if it has a right, left, or right and left display and animation, such as a sheathe on only the right side or a sheath on the right and left side. Some items that normally appear on two sides can have a one-sided appearance. The quiver has a bow attached to it, so the bow and ammunition is both drawn from the back. The quiver slot can also be used for shoulder packs, shield holders, and single or double back sheathes.

All wearable items have one or more slots they take up, and may specify a "layer" to occupy, preventing other items of the same type. A ring may occupy the same layer as a gauntlet, preventing both from being worn. A tattoo may reside on a different layer than clothing, allowing both to be worn.
Items may take up multiple body parts, such as a one piece swimsuit that occupies neck, back, torso, and waist.
Bondings may occupy hands, feet, neck, and other areas.
Items that are "used" or used on something may be placed in either hand, temporarily placing a weapon or shield away as the item is used, such as lighting a candle or drinking beer. Other items can be left in the active hand while used, such as a rake or shovel used for gardening.
Some weapons may occupy misc clothing places, such as throwing knives kept at the ankle, calf, or wrist.
Player's gain confidence by Sexiness, Coolness, Arousal, or Embarassment, depending on what type of character they are, such as submissive, aggressive, dominant, laid back, etc. Embarassment might detract from one person's confidence but add to someone who uses embarassment beneficially.
Confidence helps with willpower, endurance, luck, dodging, countering, defending, and attacking.

[edit] Wearable items
Some items display one or more items on the character model while still being in inventory. This includes scabbards, holsters, belts, etc. A scroll belt will show a scroll on the character model, and a quiver will show arrows on the character. This is considered excessive detail, and can be turned off, or temporarily hidden during lag and heavy framerate. Some items have specific animations for use, such as reaching back and grabbing an arrow, or pulling a sword from a scabbard. These animations are for visual effect only, and the default sword or use item animation can be substituted when in high lag/framerate.
