Block
From Neverend
Shield items block damage in combat, and have a blocking effect for melee, magic and projectile attacks. Martial arts users use a block effect to stop melee, magic and projectile attacks. Forcefields, wall enchantments, wall spells, protective enchantments, and nullification enchantments block spells from any direction and serve as physical obstacles. Special attacks can use a block effect such as a twirling blade to block arrows, jumping and twirling a blade or staff, or fast hands in motion to block projectiles. Offensive spell effects can block other spells and projectiles when colliding. Objects and buildings with high armor appear to block projectiles and magic by richocheting off instead of appearing to take damage. Large and bulky armor has a block effect for spells and projectiles. Monsters made of hard material or very large monsters also have a block effect for projectiles, magic and melee attacks.
