Aggro
From Neverend
Several aggro systems are used to determine the best use of aggro.
- Aggro should target players of appropriate challenge for the creature. Players who are too weak or too strong may be ignored unless the creature is set to aggro all players.
- Creatures aggro other creatures of specific types, such as wolves with rabbit, tigers with deer, dragons with cattle, etc.
- Aggro linking causes creatures to gang up on a player if they provide a reasonable challenge to players and parties. If the player or party is too weak, they will not aggro, or will wait until attacking creatures are defeated.
- Monsters roam in natural paths based on terrain and territory. Aggro requires full perception and awareness of a player.
- Spells and abilities can prevent aggro. Some creatures can ignore or cancel these effects.
- Familiarity and allegience with a type of creature can prevent any aggro unless the player attacks one of the creatures.
- Taming prevents aggro based on the type of taming.
